This station provides essential services such as local SIM card purchases, cash exchange and withdrawal, mobile payment consultation, and transportation pass sales.

Comprehensive Services for Travelers
Located directly outside the international arrival exit, the station includes an ATM for international bank cards, a currency exchange machine for 20 currencies, and a public telephone offering free local calls. Four counters under an LED screen displaying “International Services Shanghai” offer support in communication, payment, tourism, and transportation.

Enhancing Traveler Experience
Qian Jia, the operation manager, emphasized that the station aims to provide expatriates with a seamless and efficient introduction to Shanghai. Arturo Achard from Mexico found the station helpful for his first trip to Shanghai, planning to explore local attractions and enjoy the city’s modern amenities.

Future Expansion Plans
Similar service stations are expected to open at Terminal 1 of Pudong International Airport and Terminal 1 of Hongqiao International Airport by October. This initiative results from a collaboration between multiple Shanghai municipal organizations, enhancing the city’s hospitality and service quality for international visitors.

Rising Inbound Traffic
Shanghai Pudong International Airport has seen a significant increase in inbound flights and passenger volume in the first half of 2024, with a 91.5% rise in flights and a 180.2% increase in passenger trips compared to the previous year.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
