Under the theme of “Seeing is Believing”, the fair will bring together global industry players, showcasing cutting-edge eyewear designs and products while fostering new business opportunities.

A Global Showcase for Eyewear Innovation
Sophia Chong, Acting Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized, “This year’s Hong Kong International Optical Fair is more international than ever, attracting over 700 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions.” The fair reflects the dynamic evolution in eyewear design and technology, featuring trends that align with technology, lifestyle, functionality, and sustainability.
Hong Kong, the world’s third-largest exporter of eyewear and frames, continues to thrive in this sector. With the total export value of Hong Kong’s eyewear products reaching HK$19.9 billion in 2023, the smart eyewear market is also growing rapidly, with projections showing the global market surpassing HK$100 billion by 2029.

International Participation and Exhibitor Highlights
The 2024 Optical Fair will feature exhibitors from across the globe, including countries such as France, Germany, the UK, the United States, and Japan, along with key exhibitors from Mainland China. Group pavilions from China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan will be present, alongside the prestigious Visionaries of Style and HKOMA Pavilion.
The Brand Name Gallery, a major focal point of the fair, will display over 200 renowned global brands, offering a wide range of eyewear products. Other zones will highlight innovations in smart eyewear, contact lenses, sports eyewear, lenses, diagnostic instruments, and more.

Key Industry Events and Symposiums
One of the fair’s major attractions is the 22nd Hong Kong International Optometric Symposium on November 7. Jointly organized by HKTDC, the Hong Kong Optometric Association, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, this symposium will focus on myopia control and prevention, attracting industry professionals from around the world. Attendees will gain CPD accreditation and receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Additionally, the fair will host a series of talks and seminars covering topics such as smart eyewear, functional eyewear, and sustainability in the eyewear industry, offering insights into the latest advancements and trends.

Celebrating Creativity with the Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition
To promote creativity and innovation, the 24th Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition, under the theme of “Be Bold”, will announce its winners during the fair. The winning entries will be showcased at The Forum, Hall 1D, allowing international buyers to witness the creativity emerging from Hong Kong.

Exhibitors at the fair will unveil a range of innovative products, including smart eyewear, fashion-forward designs, and sustainable solutions:

EXHIBITION+ Hybrid Model for Enhanced Sourcing
The EXHIBITION+ hybrid model will enable both exhibitors and buyers to connect online via the Click2Match platform, which runs until November 15. Buyers can use the Scan2Match feature on the HKTDC Marketplace App to access product information, engage with exhibitors, and continue their sourcing journey before and after the physical fair.
