Canton Fair Showcases Innovation in Electronics & Home Appliances

The first phase of the 136th Canton Fair, running from October 15-19, has kicked off with a focus on the Electronics & Appliance category. With over 3,000 exhibitors and 193,700 products uploaded to the online platform—a 47.41% increase from the previous session—the fair is spotlighting the latest trends in new companies, products, technologies, and business models.

This year’s event emphasizes breakthroughs in the home appliance sector. Key exhibitor Galanz is showcasing over 200 products across more than 10 categories, including microwaves, refrigerators, and smart home solutions. According to a Galanz representative, “This session marks our largest exhibition booth to date.”

Global buyers have taken notice of cutting-edge smart home appliances designed to enhance everyday living. Guangzhou Mianhong Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. is exhibiting smart TVs with advanced features like voice control and facial recognition. These TVs cater to high-definition movies, 3A games, video calls, and online education with outstanding audio-visual quality.

Olansi Health Industry Co., Ltd. presents its new water purification coffee machine, combining water purification and coffee brewing, perfect for busy professionals seeking convenience and quality. Meanwhile, EKO Development Limited is showcasing a sensor trash can with smart sorting and ozone disinfection, elevating home aesthetics and functionality.

Zhejiang Crossbow Brand Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. is featuring a bladeless purification fan that incorporates smart control, air purification, and low energy consumption. This fan’s design, which won gold at the Canton Fair Design Award, demonstrates the fair’s emphasis on innovative, eco-friendly products.

China’s home appliance exports grew by 14.7% in the first eight months of 2024, according to the General Administration of Customs of the PRC. This reflects the success of Chinese manufacturers in driving product innovation and responding to global demand. The Canton Fair continues to be a pivotal platform showcasing China's global competitiveness and supply chain resilience.

Upcoming Phases

The 136th Canton Fair Autumn 2024 is divided into three distinct phases, each focusing on specific industries. Phase 1, currently underway, highlights electronics, household electrical appliances, lighting, vehicles, machinery, hardware, and building materials. Phase 2, running from October 23-27, will center around consumer goods, gifts, and home decorations, while Phase 3, held from October 31 to November 4, will showcase office supplies, recreation products, medical devices, health products, food, shoes, textiles, and garments. Each phase will also feature an International Pavilion, offering a comprehensive platform for global exhibitors to connect and expand their business in China.
