Hong Kong is set to present its largest-ever technology showcase at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, with 61 companies participating in the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion. Organized by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the pavilion will run from January 6 to 9, featuring a mix of early-stage and mature firms in sectors such as artificial intelligence, robotics, healthtech, and sustainability. This initiative underscores Hong Kong’s efforts to position itself as a hub for technological innovation and global market expansion, leveraging its strategic location and supportive policies for startups and established ventures.
Innovation Highlights and Award-Winning Solutions
The Hong Kong Tech Pavilion will highlight several CES Innovation Award-winning products, demonstrating the city’s technological strengths. Widemount Dynamics Tech received the Best of Innovation award for its Smart Firefighting Robot, designed to detect fires, navigate hazardous environments, and optimize extinguishing methods to reduce risks. In the Digital Health category, PointFit’s PF-Sweat Patch offers non-invasive monitoring of biomarkers for athletes, while Eieling Technology’s FattaLab® provides rapid, medical-grade fatty liver diagnostics in 30 seconds. These innovations reflect Hong Kong’s focus on addressing global challenges through advanced technology and research.
Business Opportunities and Networking Events
Alongside product demonstrations, the pavilion will host announcements, launches, and business-matching activities. Examples include Dentomi’s GumAI for smart oral healthcare and DRESIO‘s AI physiotherapy solutions. A Hong Kong Tech Networking Reception on January 7 will facilitate partnerships and investment discussions, targeting international stakeholders interested in collaborating with Hong Kong-based tech companies. Such events align with Hong Kong’s broader strategy to enhance its innovation ecosystem and attract global talent and capital, particularly in key areas like healthtech and AI.
Hong Kong’s Innovation Ecosystem and Global Reach
The participation of 61 companies, with 47 from the HKSTP ecosystem, highlights the role of Hong Kong’s institutional support in fostering technological growth. HKSTP, established in 2001, has nurtured over 2,600 technology companies and 12 unicorns, focusing on sectors such as healthtech, AI, robotics, and fintech. With facilities in Hong Kong Science Park, InnoCentre, and InnoParks, as well as a branch in Shenzhen, HKSTP promotes cross-border collaboration and new industrialization in advanced manufacturing and biotechnology. The HKTDC complements this by promoting Hong Kong’s trade through global offices and events, aiding small and medium-sized enterprises in accessing international markets.
This showcase at CES 2026 not only presents Hong Kong’s technological advancements but also signals its ambition to scale innovations globally, reinforcing its status as a key player in China’s economic and innovation landscape. The emphasis on sustainability and digital health further aligns with global trends and China’s policies on green development and healthcare innovation.
