Shenzhen, China

The 27th China Hi-Tech Fair concluded in Shenzhen on November 16, 2025, with more than 5,000 new products and technologies unveiled. The event attracted over 450,000 professional visitors from more than 120 countries and regions, facilitated 1,023 supply-demand matches and investment agreements, and generated over RMB 170 billion in intended deals and financing. Over 90% of physical exhibits featured cutting-edge technologies, with more than 20% being shown for the first time, reinforcing the fair’s position as a key global technology platform.

National Strategic Assets on Display

Major national strategic assets made a concentrated appearance, including the Long March rocket, Hai Kui-1 cylindrical floating production, storage and offloading vessel, Hualong One nuclear reactor, APSTAR-6D satellite, and EH216-S unmanned passenger aircraft. These exhibits showcased China’s approach to innovation-driven development, often referred to as the ‘China solution.’ China National Offshore Oil Corporation presented Asia’s first cylindrical FPSO facility, Haikui 1, and the deep-water intelligent jacket platform Haiji 2, emphasizing independent capabilities in deep-sea energy development.

Advancements in Nuclear and Satellite Technologies

China General Nuclear highlighted its fully indigenous third-generation nuclear technology, Hualong One, along with the nuclear-grade digital control system FirmSys and new-energy equipment like intelligent inspection drones. APT Satellite introduced innovations such as the world’s first satellite-communication ultra-long-distance robotic surgery system and the EH216-S unmanned passenger aircraft, demonstrating progress in satellite and aerospace sectors.

Frontier Technologies and Low-Altitude Economy

Beyond national projects, frontier technologies in artificial intelligence robotics and the low-altitude economy gained significant attention. In the AI robotics zone, Leju Robotics’ humanoid robot Kuavo demonstrated skilled movements, while the GeneoX inspection robot supported multi-brand integration and edge-AI learning. Humanoid robots from the Nanshan Pavilion exhibited abilities like front flips and L4 autonomous-driving adaptation. Meituan’s fourth-generation drone showcased low-altitude logistics by delivering 2.4 kg over a 5-km radius in 10 minutes, illustrating the growth of the low-altitude economy in China.

Shenzhen’s Innovation Ecosystem and Policy Support

Shenzhen’s innovation ecosystem, bolstered by its status as a Special Economic Zone established in 1980, has transformed the city into a tech hub hosting companies like Huawei, Tencent, BYD, and DJI. Policy support and industrial-chain strengths in the Greater Bay Area enable rapid commercialization, with manufacturing resources allowing hardware ideas to progress from prototype to sample in as few as three days. According to industry experts, agile manufacturing in Shenzhen facilitates idea verification and helps startups avoid intellectual property risks, enhancing global competitiveness for new product categories.
