U.S.-China Economic Forum in NYC Highlights Supply Chain Collaboration and Innovation Opportunities

Joined by over 300 representatives from Chinese and American business associations, the forum underscored the importance of enhancing supply chain cooperation to maintain global stability and drive economic growth.
Ren emphasized the complementary nature of the U.S. and Chinese economies, highlighting the critical role of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) as a platform for fostering business partnerships. He stated, “Strengthening supply chain cooperation between our two nations is crucial in maintaining a stable global supply chain and driving economic growth.”
Huang Ping, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, invited U.S. companies to participate in CISCE to forge practical partnerships and advance China-U.S. relations. Peter Tichansky, President and CEO of the Business Council for International Understanding, highlighted collaboration opportunities in innovation, energy transition, AI, chip technology, and trade.
Wang Zhanghua, President of the Asian American Business Development Center, expressed optimism about the forum as a catalyst for addressing challenges and developing new cooperation models. Declan Daly, COO of the U.S. Council for International Business (USCIB), pledged USCIB’s commitment to enhancing bilateral ties with CCPIT.
Hu Wei, Chairman of the China General Chamber of Commerce – USA and President of Bank of China USA, reaffirmed CGCC’s role in fostering dialogue and facilitating exchanges. He also announced plans for the upcoming 2nd CISCE in Beijing this November.

Strengthening U.S.-China Supply Chain Cooperation
The forum stressed the importance of U.S.-China cooperation in maintaining global supply chain stability. Ren Hongbin, CCPIT Chairman, called for enhanced collaboration between business communities, emphasizing the role of CISCE in this effort.

Opportunities in Innovation and Technology
Peter Tichansky of the Business Council for International Understanding highlighted collaboration in innovation, energy transition, AI, and chip technology as vast opportunities for U.S.-China economic cooperation.

Promoting Bilateral Business Relations
The forum saw commitments from various business leaders to enhance U.S.-China relations. Notably, USCIB’s COO Declan Daly and CGCC Chairman Hu Wei emphasized their roles in fostering bilateral ties and preparing for the 2nd CISCE in Beijing.

Forum Highlights U.S.-China Economic Integration
With over 300 representatives, the forum underscored the deeply integrated interests of the U.S. and Chinese economies. Ren Hongbin stressed the importance of supply chain cooperation in driving global economic growth.

Preparing for CISCE 2024 in Beijing
The forum also highlighted preparations for the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing, scheduled for November 26-30, 2024.
