The opening ceremony alone attracted nearly 3,000 participants, highlighting the festival’s importance in China’s branding landscape.

Unveiling the TopBrand 2024 Top 500 Global Brands List
During the festival, the “TopBrand 2024 Top 500 Global Brands List” was released by the TopBrand Union. This list, now in its third year, ranked Apple as the top brand with a value of $1.021 trillion, followed by Microsoft and Amazon. Notably, Nvidia made a significant leap to the fourth position with a brand value of $804 billion. The list underscores the dominance of American brands, with the United States leading in terms of the number of companies on the list and total brand value, contributing $16.8 trillion.

Global Representation on the List
China ranked second with 99 companies and a total brand value of $6.29 trillion, featuring prominent brands like Sinopec, PetroChina, and Tencent. Japan secured the third spot with 37 companies and a combined brand value of $1.68 trillion, with Toyota leading the Japanese brands. Other countries with strong representation included France, the UK, Germany, and India, highlighting the global diversity of leading brands.

Industry Insights
The medical and pharmaceutical industry led the list with 41 companies, followed by the technology sector with 40 companies. The energy and banking sectors also showed strong representation, each with 35 companies. This distribution reflects the varied strengths and growth areas across global industries.

Comprehensive Evaluation Methodology
Dr. Wang Yong, founder and chairman of the China Brand Festival, emphasized that the ranking was based on a comprehensive evaluation of 43,590 brands from 83 countries. The brand value was assessed using various metrics, including revenue scale, premium ability, internationalization, team building, reputation, and core competitiveness.

In addition to the global rankings, the festival also released the “TopBrand 2024 Top 500 Chinese Brands” and the “TopBrand 2024 Top 500 Chinese Innovative Brands” lists, celebrating the achievements and innovations within China’s vibrant market.
