This milestone positions Lenovo as one of the first automotive tier-one suppliers globally to utilize the NVIDIA Drive Thor platform.
AD1: High Performance and Safety
The AD1 boasts AI computing power of 2100 TOPS@FP8/INT8 and CPU computing power of 174 based on SPECrate 2017. It meets ASIL-D functional safety level of ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 cybersecurity standards. With a range of sensor interfaces, it is designed for SAE level 4 autonomous driving in commercial scenarios like RoboTaxi, RoboTruck, RoboBus, and RoboSweeper.
Advancing Autonomous Driving
As 2024 brings significant progress in autonomous driving technology, the adoption of Level 4 self-driving vehicles is nearing widespread implementation. The demand for high-performance computing has surged due to end-to-end large model technology in autonomous driving. Lenovo’s domain controllers, powered by NVIDIA DRIVE Thor, offer enhanced AI inference efficiency and precision, accelerating the inference speed of Transformer models fivefold. WeRide has chosen Lenovo’s domain control scheme for its next-generation autonomous driving technology platform.
Future Developments
Lenovo plans to introduce cost-effective domain controllers for L3 and L2++ ADAS markets, offering various configurations to enhance ADAS features. The Lenovo UltraBoost AI middleware, compatible with these controllers, further improves computational efficiency, operator enhancement, and task scheduling. Lenovo’s vehicle computing team is dedicated to advancing autonomous driving technology and transforming driverless commercial vehicles. Aligned with its vision of “AI for All,” Lenovo continues to innovate its solutions and services to deliver a unified and smart experience, driving transformative changes in consumers’ lives.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
