The International Travel Expo (ITE) Hong Kong 2026, comprising the 40th ITE Leisure and 21st ITE MICE editions, is set to take place from June 11 to 14 at Halls 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will include two trade days and two public days, offering dedicated B2B and B2C programs. Organized by TKS Exhibition Services Ltd., ITE has been held annually since 2021 and is recognized as a MEGA EVENT by the Hong Kong government.
China Market and Regional Significance
ITE serves as a key platform for accessing Asia’s major source markets, with 67% of trade visitors in previous editions coming from China’s Greater Bay Area. This region, which includes Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, had a combined GDP of US$2.1 trillion in 2024. Hong Kong alone, with a population of 7.5 million, recorded 104.7 million departures and US$28.9 billion in travel spending in 2024, ranking as the world’s 14th largest source market. Recent data shows 2.32 million departures from December 24-28, 2025, and 0.24 million on January 1, 2026.
Government and Industry Support
The event receives strong backing from China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, which staged the largest pavilion at ITE2025. Other supporters include the Hong Kong Tourism Board. This support underscores the fair’s role in promoting travel trade and tourism investment within the region.
