The 19th Asian Financial Forum (AFF) is scheduled for January 26–27, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, co-organized by the Hong Kong SAR government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). This event, themed “Co-creating New Horizons Amid an Evolving Landscape,” will gather over 100 global business and political leaders to discuss geopolitical shifts, macroeconomic trends, and financial market developments, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as an international financial centre.
Global Business Summit and Real Economy Focus
The forum will introduce the inaugural Global Business Summit, co-organized by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau, HKTDC, and the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises. This summit will focus on the integration of finance with the real economy, covering topics such as artificial intelligence, new consumer trends, biomedicine, and green energy. It aims to explore opportunities for mainland enterprises to expand globally and assist international firms in entering the Chinese Mainland market, leveraging Hong Kong’s position as a superconnector.
Deal-Making and Investment Opportunities
AFF Deal-making, a global investment-matching platform co-organized with the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA), will facilitate partnerships among project owners, investors, and service providers. The platform has engaged over 8,000 companies and arranged more than 10,000 meetings. In 2026, it will adopt a hybrid model, with in-person sessions during the forum and online networking until January 29, to drive cross-border cooperation and innovation.
Exhibition Zones and Green Initiatives
The forum will feature four exhibition zones, including a new FutureGreen Showcase, FintechHK Start-up Salon, Global Investment Zone, and InnoVenture Salon. Over 140 exhibitors, such as Bank of China (Hong Kong), CICC, and HSBC, will showcase innovative business concepts, green finance solutions, and technology applications. This aims to promote cross-sector exchange and expand global business opportunities, particularly in green development.
Organizers note that the AFF has grown significantly since its inception, attracting over 60,000 participants and 1,000 speakers to date. The 2026 edition is expected to welcome more than 3,600 participants from 60 countries, with discussions on asset management, trade finance, and financial technology. Further details, including the speaker list, will be announced at a press conference on January 19, 2026.
