The 52nd HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the 17th HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair, and the 24th Hong Kong International Stationery & School Supplies Fair will run concurrently from January 12 to 15, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The events, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, are expected to attract over 2,600 exhibitors from 37 countries and regions, including new participants from Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Norway. The fairs aim to foster cross-regional trade cooperation and networking opportunities for global buyers and sellers.
New ‘Pop & Play’ Pavilion Targets Growing Collectibles Market
The Toys & Games Fair is introducing a ‘Pop & Play’ pavilion, featuring around 150 trendy intellectual properties (IPs) from international and local brands. This pavilion is open to both trade buyers and the public, aiming to help toy brands expand into international markets and engage with fans. Highlights include global premieres and limited-edition collectibles, such as items from B.Duck, Hot Toys, and collaborations with Hong Kong animated films. The initiative aligns with the growing ‘kidult’ and toy collecting market, which is injecting momentum into the toy industry.
Happy Ageing Label and Green Initiatives Reflect Market Trends
In response to global ageing populations, the Toys & Games Fair has introduced a ‘Happy Ageing’ label to help buyers identify toys and products designed for seniors or intergenerational use. Over 40 exhibitors will adopt this label. Additionally, the fair’s Green Toys zone will showcase eco-friendly products, including STEM sets made from biodegradable materials, driven by demand from markets like the Middle East and Europe. More than 400 exhibitors will display green certification labels, a 10% increase from 2025.
Export Confidence and International Participation Rise
The HKTDC’s Q4 2025 Export Confidence Index for the toy sector rose to 50.5, its highest level since Q1 2024, indicating improved industry conditions. The fairs feature several international pavilions, including those from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Korea, and Europe, with over 200 buyer missions from 40 countries and regions. E-commerce platforms such as Rakuten, Tmall Global, and Amazon have been invited to help exhibitors expand sales channels. The Baby Products Fair reports growth in exhibitor numbers and fair area, particularly in stroller and gear zones.
Asia Toys & Games Forum and Digital Integration
The Asia Toys & Games Forum, themed ‘Empowering the Toy Industry for Global Success,’ will include discussions on market outlooks, IP strategies, and regulatory developments by experts from firms like Euromonitor International and The Walt Disney Company. The fairs operate under the EXHIBITION+ model, combining physical exhibitions with the Click2Match smart-matching platform for online business meetings from January 5 to 22, 2026. This digital integration aims to enhance business connections and sourcing opportunities for participants.
