China Mobile has unveiled a refreshed international brand, CMobile, alongside the launch of an International Ecosystem Alliance during the 2025 China Mobile Global Partners Conference in Guangzhou. The announcements highlight the company’s ongoing internationalization strategy, which focuses on expanding its telecommunications services and fostering global collaborations in digital infrastructure and innovation.
Strategic Framework and Global Expansion
The CMobile brand is built on a 4C framework, emphasizing customer-centric services, open cooperation, innovation-driven capabilities, and intelligent global connections. This approach aims to strengthen China Mobile’s role in providing integrated telecommunications solutions, including international transmission capacity and data center resources. Since 2006, the company has established a significant global presence, with operations in 40 business locations, 310T of international transmission capacity, and 360 overseas Points of Presence, covering 284 cities worldwide.
Collaboration Initiatives and Digital Ecosystem
China Mobile has developed several international cooperation platforms, such as the Hand-in-Hand Program with 29 members serving over 3 billion mobile subscribers, the iSTAR Program connecting 500 partners to aid Chinese enterprises in digital globalization, and the GTI International Innovation Platform with 147 members and 242 partners focusing on 5G, 6G, and AI technologies. The newly formed International Ecosystem Alliance aims to unite partners across the digital value chain, promoting mutual growth and shared prosperity in global markets.
