Astronergy has secured two major contracts with China International Water & Electric Corp. (CWE) and Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA), totaling one gigawatt (GW) of its n-type TOPCon solar modules. These modules will power six key solar projects in Algeria as part of the country’s ambitious 2,000 MW solar plan. The projects include significant plants such as the 220MW Biskra PV plant and 200MW Douar El Maa PV plant. Once completed, these solar farms will produce around 400 million kWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 330,000 tonnes.

This massive initiative is part of Algeria’s goal to enhance its energy infrastructure and shift towards renewable energy. At the groundbreaking ceremony for the Biskra plant, Algeria's Minister of Energy and Mining, Mohamed Alkab, emphasized the project’s role in local job creation and economic development. Astronergy’s involvement in this project also highlights its expanding role in Africa's clean energy landscape, having already contributed to the Noor Ouarzazate plant in Morocco and the Benban solar plant in Egypt.

Astronergy remains committed to supporting the global clean energy transition, providing high-reliability products to drive sustainable development. Through collaborations with international partners, Astronergy aims to further its mission of promoting green energy solutions worldwide.
