From July 4-6, a delegation from China's southern Hainan Province conducted promotional and exchange activities in Switzerland to foster cooperation in medical health, education, and high-end shopping and consumption.

The delegation held significant meetings with companies such as Merck, Richemont, and Roche Diagnostics, and institutions including EHL Hospitality Business School and the World Trade Organization. The Hainan Free Trade Port Medical & Health Industry Exchange Meeting was held in Zurich on July 4, co-organized by Hainan's provincial government and Switzerland Global Enterprise. Nearly 50 representatives from leading Swiss companies and industry associations attended the event.
Strategic Agreements and Future Plans
During the event, Swiss representatives praised Hainan FTP's business environment and policies, particularly the innovative measures in the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone. Contract signings included agreements between Sonova & the Boao Lecheng Zone, Industrie Biomediche Insubri SA & Susheng Biotech, and Dr. Dünner AG & Winhealth Pharma. Switzerland Global Enterprise also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development to promote innovation in life sciences and medical health industries.
Encouraging Participation and Investment
Hainan invited Swiss enterprises to leverage FTP's policies and participate in the 5th China International Consumer Products Expo in April 2025. The delegation emphasized the opportunities available in Hainan's medical health, education, and intellectual property sectors.
