The second phase of the Global Sources Hong Kong Shows opened on October 18, 2025, at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, running until October 21. This four-day event integrates four major trade shows focused on mobile electronics, smart home and appliances, lifestyle, and home and kitchen products, under the theme of an AI-powered ecosystem for manufacturing intelligence. It has drawn more than 2,000 exhibitors presenting over 150,000 innovative items, including mobile devices, smart wearables, AR/VR technologies, and smart home solutions. A key addition this year is the debut of an AI Pavilion, with the event expected to attract over 60,000 international B2B buyers, including a record number from emerging markets.

AI Pavilion Highlights Smart Hardware Innovations

The inaugural AI Pavilion at the show features over 1,200 booths organized into seven zones, each dedicated to specific AI application scenarios. These include AI smart terminals, wearables, glasses, toys, pet products, personal healthcare, and other AI-driven devices, offering a comprehensive display of the latest advancements in smart hardware ecosystems. For instance, the AI+ Terminal Devices Zone showcases products like phones and laptops that use on-device AI for functions such as real-time translation and performance optimization, highlighting progress in lightweight models and multi-device collaboration.

In the AI+ Wearables Zone, devices such as watches and earphones integrate sensors with AI algorithms to monitor health metrics like heart rate and sleep quality, shifting from passive data recording to proactive health management. The AI+ Glasses Zone covers a range from high-end to affordable models, emphasizing applications in gaming, education, and conferences through features like real-time photography and multilingual translation, with innovations in gesture control and eye tracking enhancing user interaction.

Other zones focus on AI+ Toys, where Asian manufacturers target export markets with customized solutions for education and emotional companionship, and AI+ Pet Products, which feature innovations in health monitoring and automated care to improve the pet ownership experience. The AI+ Personal Healthcare Zone includes smart beauty devices and aromatherapy machines that combine sensors and AI for health management, while the Other AI+ Products Zone displays items like smart PC cases and helmets with intelligent cooling and safety features, supported by partnerships such as HTC’s AI and XR experience area for VR games and supply chain resources.

Awards and Launches Drive Industry Trends

The Global Sources Innovation Awards for Phase II recognize products in categories like mobile electronics and smart home for their practicality, cost-effectiveness, and technological maturity. In collaboration with the European Product Design Award, a Best Product Design Award honors items with innovative design, and a new AI Innovation Award has been introduced to acknowledge outstanding AI technology applications. Additionally, the shows host multiple new product launch events, where exhibitors debut annual innovations, many making their global or Asian premieres, reflecting integrated approaches that combine technology with market demand to outline future trends in consumer electronics.

Summits and Demonstrations Explore AI Applications

Concurrent with the shows, the Global Sources Summit and AI & Robotics Summit, themed around consumer AI gadgets, bring together industry experts to discuss topics such as trillion-dollar market transformations, Asian market strategies, and robotics-as-a-service. These summits provide insights into AI smart product trends and high-growth markets, aiding businesses and investors in capitalizing on the AI consumerization wave. An on-site AI robot demonstration area allows visitors to experience human-robot interactions, including performances by robots like Engine AI, which showcased advanced motion planning and real-time control capabilities, illustrating potential applications in robotics.

Celebrating Three Decades of B2B Sourcing

Marking the 30th anniversary of GlobalSources.com, the company is hosting a special cocktail party during the shows to reflect on its history and future plans.
