The 45th Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and the 28th electronicAsia opened today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, running for four days. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), these concurrent events have drawn more than 3,200 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions, including significant participation from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, as well as other parts of Asia, Europe, and North America. The HKTDC has arranged 120 buying missions from 61 countries to facilitate sourcing and trade connections.
Focus on Chinese Innovation and Market Expansion
This year’s Autumn Electronics Fair centers on three key areas: artificial intelligence and robotics, the silver economy, and digital entertainment, while electronicAsia highlights electronic components and technologies. A notable feature is the RoboPark zone, which brings together major Chinese mainland technology firms from groups such as Hangzhou’s Six Little Dragons and Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence. These companies are using the fair as a platform to go global and explore new markets, with live demonstrations and product launches.
Prominent Chinese exhibitors include DEEP Robotics, showcasing the X30 Quadruped Robodog, and BrainCo with its Revo2 bionic hand. From Shenzhen, companies like DIGIT, PaXini Tech, and LimX Dynamics are displaying intelligent and humanoid robots. Events in RoboPark include over 30 demonstrations focusing on business, rehabilitation, and daily applications, with firms like Unitree Robotics and Booster Robotics sharing the latest in robotics technology.
Showcasing Cutting-Edge Technologies
The fair introduces specialized zones such as RISE Avenue for emerging electronic brands and the Adventure Hub with immersive experiences using VR, AR, and AI. The Hall of Fame features over 500 global electronic brands, and the Tech Hall includes the Hong Kong Tech Showcase, promoting innovation from about 40 local companies. A Startup Zone provides a platform for over 90 tech entrepreneurs to present new technologies.
In the AI and robotics segment, exhibits include PaXini Technology’s TORA One humanoid robot for service and healthcare, Deep Robotics’ X30 for industrial tasks, and Booster Robotics’ Booster T1 for complex movements. Hong Kong Robotics Limited’s Cloud Ginger offers AI-driven interactions, while products like Rokid Glasses and the 1-Sense Soul Smart Ring integrate AI for daily use.
Digital entertainment highlights include GooVision’s Head-Mounted Display for professional training, Guangzhou Rigal’s RD-839 Smart Projector for home and outdoor use, and Epomaker’s Cypher 81 Keyboard with customizable features. For the silver economy, products such as AGreen’s BloomCap for hair regrowth, Kin Technology’s At-home Pill Dispenser with IoT capabilities, and Megastek’s Smart Walking Stick with GPS and safety features address aging population needs.
Concurrent Events and Industry Insights
electronicAsia runs alongside the main fair, featuring zones for electronic components, power supplies, and manufacturing services, with international participants like Australia’s Masters & Young showcasing printed circuit boards. A series of forums and seminars are held, including the 10th Symposium on Innovation & Technology co-organized by the HKTDC and the Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association. This year’s symposium, titled Advancing Innovation Through Collaboration: Robotics Across Land, Sea, and Sky, explored robotics applications in logistics, ocean exploration, and economic development, with speakers from government and industry.
HKTDC Chairman Prof Frederick Ma emphasized the council’s support for enterprises in going global and leveraging Hong Kong’s role as a superconnector. The events underscore Hong Kong’s position in fostering international trade and innovation, particularly in connecting Chinese companies with global opportunities amid evolving technological trends.
