This year’s event marked unprecedented achievements, including tentative deals worth USD 80.01 billion, a 2% increase over the previous year.
Uniting Nations for a Comprehensive Exhibition
The Comprehensive Country Exhibition featured participation from 77 countries and international organizations across five continents. Each booth incorporated unique cultural elements, modern technologies, and national identities, hosting over 200 captivating events. This global showcase highlighted the diversity and innovation driving international cooperation.
Empowering Enterprises and Startups
The Enterprise & Business Exhibition attracted 3,496 companies from 129 countries and regions, including 1,585 from Belt and Road Initiative countries, 1,106 from Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership nations, and 132 exhibitors from 35 least-developed countries. The Innovation Incubation Special Section stood out, showcasing 360 projects from 34 regions, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups as key drivers of future growth.
Debuts Driving Consumer Demand
Multinational companies unveiled 450 new products, services, and technologies, including over 100 global launches and 200 China debuts. This diverse array of innovations sparked fresh momentum for consumer demand, solidifying CIIE’s reputation as a hub for pioneering advancements.
Fostering Global Dialogue at the Hongqiao Forum
The Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HQF) served as a platform for dialogue on pressing global topics. Drawing over 8,600 participants, the forum featured insights from more than 300 esteemed global leaders in politics, business, and academia. A key highlight was the release of the World Openness Report 2024 and World Openness Index, promoting international collaboration and reinforcing the importance of openness in global economic recovery.
