7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) Prepares for Grand Opening

The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in 2023 attracted numerous exhibitors, buyers and visitors.

[cs_content _p=’5343′][cs_element_section _id=”1″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”2″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”3″ ][cs_element_text _id=”4″ ][cs_content_seo]With less than 100 days remaining, the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) is set to take place from November 5th to 10th, 2024, in Shanghai. Significant progress has been made in preparation for this major event.

Participation and Exhibition Areas
This year’s expo will see participation from over 50 countries and international organizations, including newcomers such as Norway, Benin, Burundi, and UNICEF. The Comprehensive Country Exhibition will highlight bilateral cooperation achievements.
The Enterprise & Business Exhibition will feature six key areas: Food and Agricultural Products, Automobiles, Technology Equipment, Consumer Goods, Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products, and Trade in Services. The Innovation Incubation Zone will continue to support emerging technologies and startups. The total exhibition space booked has exceeded 360,000 square meters, with a notable increase in professional visitors anticipated.

Hongqiao International Economic Forum
The Hongqiao International Economic Forum, a key event of the CIIE, will focus on “High-Standard Opening up for Universally Beneficial and Inclusive Economic Globalization.” The forum will launch the “World Openness Report 2024” and host an international seminar to discuss its findings. Pre-ceremony exchange activities, known as CIIE & HQF Gala, will facilitate interactions.

Supporting Events and Cultural Exchange
Applications for supporting events have been open since June 19 and will close on August 31. These events will include cultural performances organized by relevant institutions, emphasizing the results of friendly exchanges between China and other countries. Additionally, the “CIIE Stories” collection has been launched globally, inviting past participants to share their experiences and insights.
