The first China Public Safety Technology Equipment Exhibition (Lianyungang) opened on September 7, 2024, in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province. This landmark event, hosted by the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security of China, is the first exhibition held under the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) framework. With the theme "Safety Without Borders, Development Unimpeded," the exhibition featured cutting-edge innovations from 45 leading domestic companies in the public safety sector.

Innovative Technologies on Display

Spanning over 6,000 square meters, the exhibition was divided into five sections, each highlighting different areas of public safety technology. These included advancements in criminal technology, protective equipment, traffic management, counter-terrorism rescue, and communication command. One of the event's standout innovations was the Hornet T800 multi-scenario riot control device. This Chinese-developed, non-lethal tool integrates tear gas, restraint, electric shock, dazzling light, and law enforcement recording into a single, portable device. It has attracted significant attention for its versatility and effectiveness, and is currently being deployed across several provinces in China.

Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum 2024

On September 9, the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum (Lianyungang) 2024 took place, with the theme "Cooperation and Win-Win Situations Amidst Change: Building a Global Public Safety Community." The forum brought together over 2,100 participants, including law enforcement officials and experts from 122 countries and organizations, such as Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Interpol. The forum emphasized communication, cooperation, and safety, aiming to strengthen global public safety governance.
