La Poste, through its parcel delivery subsidiary Colissimo, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Temu, the global e-commerce marketplace based in Shenzhen, China. The agreement aims to strengthen logistics collaboration and support French sellers in expanding their reach internationally, particularly through improved delivery services and cross-border trade facilitation.
Logistics and service enhancements
The partnership will explore initiatives such as reliable parcel delivery within France, offering flexible options including home delivery, pickup points, lockers, and post offices. It also includes international fulfillment solutions, allowing Temu sellers to access global markets via Colissimo’s network, and warehousing and flow management using Colissimo’s logistics platforms. These efforts are designed to make it easier for local businesses in France to sell abroad and enhance services for consumers.
Sustainability and innovation focus
Colissimo will contribute its logistics expertise, industrial infrastructure, and technical solutions, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions through the use of electric vehicles, eco-designed packaging, and urban delivery hubs. This aligns with broader trends in China’s e-commerce sector, where sustainability and innovation are increasingly prioritized in global supply chains.
Local-to-local delivery service
A key component of the collaboration is the launch of a Local-to-Local Domestic Delivery Service, providing French sellers on Temu’s platform with an end-to-end shipping solution. Leveraging Colissimo’s distribution network, the service will offer flexible parcel collection, nationwide delivery to homes and pickup points, and streamlined return management, including options like next-day and same-day delivery in Paris.
