Hong Kong CES 2026

A delegation of 61 Hong Kong technology companies, led by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), participated in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6-9. This marked the largest-ever Hong Kong presence at the event, with the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion attracting visits from international brands, industry leaders, and investors in the first two days. The participation aimed to facilitate access to overseas markets and showcase research and development strengths, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a leading international innovation and technology (I&T) hub.

Award-Winning Innovations

Three Hong Kong firms received recognition at the CES Innovation Awards 2026. Widemount Dynamics Tech won the Best of Innovation award in the “Product in Support of Human Security for All” category for its Smart Firefighting Robot. Eieling and PointFit were honored in the “Digital Health” category for their innovations: Eieling’s FattaLab®, described as the world’s first intelligence-driven compact fatty liver diagnostic device, and PointFit’s PF-Sweat Patch, a patented ultra-thin biomarkers tracking wearable. These awards highlight the city’s capabilities in frontier technologies such as robotics and health tech.

Showcasing Diverse Technologies

The Hong Kong Tech Pavilion featured innovations across multiple sectors, including advanced materials and sustainable technology, artificial intelligence and data, digital transformation, electronics and robotics, and life and health. Product demo and pitching sessions were arranged for startups to enhance exposure during the show. The delegation’s solutions drew enthusiasm from attendees, reflecting global interest in Hong Kong’s tech advancements.

Supporting Hong Kong’s I&T Ecosystem

HKSTP and HKTDC emphasized their roles in supporting the city’s innovation ecosystem. HKSTP focuses on connecting innovators with resources, markets, and opportunities to propel them to the global stage. HKTDC, with over 40 years of participation in CES, leverages its global network of over 50 offices to facilitate technology-driven, cross-border business deals and investments. A Hong Kong Tech Networking Reception, co-organized by HKSTP, HKTDC, and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office of San Francisco, was held to engage US tech professionals, business partners, and investors in exploring opportunities within Hong Kong’s I&T ecosystem.

The event underscores Hong Kong’s strategic efforts to bolster its position as a regional and global innovation hub, driven by collaboration between public and private entities. The participation of 47 companies from the HKSTP ecosystem, out of the total 61, highlights the park’s role in nurturing tech talent and fostering economic growth through innovation.
