DAHON Tech has established a new company, DAGOLD Technology, in partnership with Golden Wheel Group, with a factory opening ceremony held on October 16 in Tianjin, China. This move is part of DAHON‘s strategy to capitalize on the growing global electric bicycle market and leverage Tianjin‘s manufacturing capabilities for cost advantages.
The DAGOLD factory is designed to expand production capacity, particularly for entry-level models, enabling DAHON to offer a wider range of products. This expansion targets emerging markets and aims to meet diverse consumer needs, supporting the company’s growth in the competitive e-bike sector.
Strategic Partnerships and Technology Focus
DAHON’s founder and CEO, Dr. David T. Hon, stated that the partnership with Golden Wheel will utilize Tianjin’s manufacturing strengths to advance the application of DAHON-V technology. This initiative focuses on developing lighter, faster, and smarter mobility solutions that are affordable, while contributing to the global green mobility industry.
The factory features world-class facilities and an experienced R&D team from leading bicycle and e-bike manufacturers, ensuring a focus on innovation and quality. Its operations will handle orders for both DAHON and Golden Wheel, covering product series such as electric motorcycles, electric passenger trikes, e-folding bikes, e-bikes, and electric scooters.

In recent years, DAHON has accelerated growth by implementing its DAHON-V technology and a ‘Sharing 360‘ strategy, which involves licensing its brand to 16 companies and supplying patented components to 18 industry peers.
