Diplomatic Engagement and Innovation Highlights
Ou Boqian, Consul General of China in Dubai, visited the China Telecom booth and was briefed on the company’s technological progress by Dong Ziyu, General Manager of China Telecom Africa & Middle East. Ou acknowledged the firm’s efforts in promoting digitalization in the region, underscoring the importance of such initiatives for China’s overseas economic partnerships.
Strategic Initiatives and Product Launches
China Telecom inaugurated the UAE Office for the Spatio-temporal Intelligence Technology Cooperation Consortium, emphasizing collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative. This office will facilitate joint projects in areas like BeiDou Navigation, remote sensing, and digital twin technologies to support regional industrial upgrading.
The company introduced its global Robotic as a Service platform, which uses cloud-based AI and computing power from China Telecom Cloud to manage robotic applications in sectors such as smart campuses and healthcare. Additionally, new products including the OneSolutions Cloud Marketplace, eSurfing Cloud Laptop, and BeiDou Safety Helmet were launched to address localized needs in the Middle East and Africa.
China Telecom plans to continue expanding its influence in fields like AI and industrial digitalization, leveraging partnerships to foster the digital economy in line with China’s international trade and investment strategies.
