On September 28, 2024, Zoomlion officially opened its Smart City Mobile Crane Park in Changsha, China, marking the launch of the world’s first smart factory that integrates the entire manufacturing process of wheeled cranes. This advanced facility can produce a wheeled crane every 18 minutes, setting a new industry benchmark for intelligent manufacturing. With the completion of this park, all four major equipment parks in Zoomlion’s Smart City are fully operational, underscoring a comprehensive shift toward digital transformation and smart manufacturing.
A Technological Milestone for Smart Manufacturing
Spanning 1,500 mu (approximately 1 million square meters) with a construction area of 440,000 square meters, the Mobile Crane Park is a marvel of modern manufacturing. Featuring 56 intelligent production lines, including four unmanned and automated lines and more than 500 robots, the park enables seamless production and efficient operation. Major crane components are manufactured by robots, allowing for the production of one crane every 18 minutes, establishing Zoomlion as an industry leader in output efficiency per unit area and per capita.
Unveiling the World's Largest All-Terrain Crane
At the park’s opening, Zoomlion introduced the world’s largest 4,000-ton all-terrain crane, engineered primarily for installing extra-large wind turbines on land. This crane is the only one capable of installing turbines as high as 185 meters, which is equivalent to lifting a 160-ton object to the height of a 65-story building. Its 10-axle all-terrain chassis, coupled with Zoomlion’s self-manufactured heavy-duty axles, offers superior load-bearing capacity and unmatched mobility between construction sites.
