Cainiao Group, a global leader in e-commerce logistics and the logistics arm of Alibaba, has launched a new chartered flight route connecting Xi'an, China, to Liège, Belgium. This new air freight service, operating twice a week, aims to enhance Cainiao's cross-border delivery capacity between China and Europe ahead of the peak shopping season.
The inaugural flight, operated by a Boeing 767-300F freighter, departed from Xi'an, carrying over 50 tons of cross-border e-commerce goods. This shipment included more than 150,000 parcels destined for various locations across Europe. Upon arrival at Cainiao’s Liège eHub, the goods are quickly processed through customs clearance, sorted, and dispatched for delivery to destinations such as Spain, France, Germany, and other European countries.
The seamless integration of Cainiao's "air-to-ground" transportation model ensures faster and more reliable delivery. By leveraging this efficient process, Cainiao can offer cross-border merchants consistent and cost-effective logistics solutions, improving delivery times and overall customer satisfaction.
