In the first half of 2026, China’s foreign trade consumer electronics industry achieved a structural recovery, demonstrating strong export resilience. According to the latest data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the export delivery value of above-scale electronic information manufacturing enterprises increased by 7.8% year-on-year, with the monthly growth rate rising to 12.9% in June. This reflects a continuous recovery in overseas market demand, particularly in the consumer electronics sector.
Traditional electronic products maintained steady growth, with TV and integrated circuit exports increasing by 3.1% and 7% respectively. These products continue to sustain global market shares, backed by reliable product quality and cost competitiveness. Meanwhile, the industry is accelerating upgrades toward standard compliance and high-end manufacturing. New regulations, such as the EU Digital Product Passport, have pushed domestic exporters to upgrade production processes and improve green supply chains. This shift not only ensures compliance with international standards but also enhances the overall quality and sustainability of Chinese consumer electronics.
